Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park MuseumOur annual fundraising gala was held on March 29, 2008 at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park Museum in Fells Point.  This year we offered a selection of international cuisine from Baltimore’s hottest restaurants, an internationally inspired silent auction, and lots of other surprises - all in the city’s newest venue.

Rumba Club:
This 8-person ensemble's been around since 1986 and plays a mix of Latin dance, original composition, and jazz classics set to mambo, salsa, and cha-cha beats. Benny Bogtong, a local latin dance instructor with The Belvedere /13th Floor, provided latin dance instruction from 7:30-9pm during the event.

JHU Lion Dance TroupeJHU Lion Dance troupe:
The Chinese lion dance provides people with blessing and prosperity while guarding against misfortune and dispelling evil spirits.




Sharm el Sheikh Troupe (Egyptian dance)
This is a combination of belly dancing numbers and other group dances.
